Yesterday, the Harare Central District RRW Badging Service made history at Budiriro United Methodist Church (UMC), with a record-breaking 90 members being badged. The event, presided over by District Superintendent Rev. Oswell Kaseke, marked a significant milestone in the district’s history.
During the service, the members being badged took turns reciting the Apostles’ Creed and the Lord’s Prayer, reaffirming their faith and commitment to the Lord. They were also asked to reaffirm their theme, “Kugara Hupenyu Hwakachena,” which translates to “Living a Clean Life.” To further solidify their understanding of this theme, the members were asked to share what “Living a Clean Life” meant to them, reflecting on their commitment to living a life that honors God.
In a heartwarming moment, the members being badged were later joined on stage by their husbands, showcasing the unity and support that exists between them. This special moment highlighted the importance of family support in their spiritual journeys.
After the badging ceremony, DS Kaseke delivered a powerful sermon, emphasizing the importance of love and unity among members.
The newly badged members were visibly moved and inspired by the ceremony, which symbolizes their commitment to serving the Lord and spreading His love.
